²⁶ At the end of twelve months, as he was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, ²⁷ the king exclaimed, “Is this not the great Babylon that I have built as the royal residence by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”

²⁸ The words were still in the king’s mouth when a voice fell from heaven. “King Nebuchadnezzar, it has been decreed to you that your kingdom has been removed from you!
